also, iron patriot is in iron man 3, apparently. instead of norman osborn, though, we’ll be getting eric salvia (coldblood, played by james dale badge) wearing it. sorta reminds me of the whole detroit steel situation, actually :o

I actually really… don’t… like this
Iron Patriot was special in the comics because it was a bastardisation of Captain America being dead and Norman conquering Tony in every way possible during Dark Reign. I’m really scared they’re shoe-horning too many things into this movie; Extremis (and an “Extremis army” which alone bothers me since Extremis was so… singular and unique), Mandarin, Coldblood and Aldrich Killian. I don’t want another clusterfuck of too many characters and concepts like IM2. :(

Man this is going to be so weird without the Dark Reign context.
Only thing I am looking forward to is Tony snarking the guy inside the armor like hell and then taking pictures to show Steve in Avengers 2 so they both can laugh at it together.
But yeah the point of Iron Patriot was Norman rubbing in on Tony that he had owned him while trying to take advantage of Captain America’s death.
Oh well I’ll see what they do before I judge them, who knows maybe I’ll be surprised and they do something good with this?
